Refund Policy
We have a 100% satisfaction guarantee. If you decide at any time within the six months allotted for the course that you are not completely satisfied with the TEFL Online, you may receive a full refund for all modules not completed on a pro-rated basis. If you are not satisfied with the Grammar Advisor portion of the course, you are entitled to a full refund within the first three days. After the three-day trial period has passed, no refunds will be given on Grammar Advisor. Endorsements are non-refundable.

Course Duration
The number of hours indicated in the course title is an approximation of the time each course takes to complete. This includes the time involved in taking the final module quizzes and answering the written assignments. However, considering the time involved corresponding with your tutor, and that your tutor has 24 hours (Monday through Friday), to respond to your essays, the average time to finish the basic course is six to eight weeks. Since the course is self-paced, you may finish more quickly or more slowly than this.

Time Limit
It is expected that you finish the TEFL Online course within six months from the date of purchase. We will send you a mid-course announcement stating that you are approximately three months into your six-month limit if you haven't finished the course by then. We will also send you an extension letter near the end of your course describing the extension policy below. If your time limit expires and you have not finished the course, you are no longer eligible to receive a refund.

Extension Policy
You may extend your course for an additional six months beyond the original expiration date for an additional fee of $175.00. However, should you request such an extension, our refund policy for modules not taken will no longer apply, and no refunds will be given after the course extension is granted.

Course Failures
In order to pass TEFL Online and receive a certificate, you must receive a grade of 70% or higher. In the event that your tutor feels that you are in danger of failing the online course, he/she will notify you immediately in writing. Should you choose not to finish the course, you will be refunded modules that have not been started. If you choose to continue the course regardless of the warning, and you fail the course in the end, no certificate will be awarded and no refunds will be issued.

In order to pass the endorsements, you must also receive a grade of 70% or higher. In the event that you pass the basic online course, but fail one or more of the endorsements, a certificate will be issued, but no mention will be made of the endorsement(s).

Plagiarism
You are expected to do your own coursework and write your own essay answers. Plagiarism is strictly forbidden. You may not copy answers directly from the Internet or other sources. If using outside sources in preparing your answers, you must cite the source(s) used with a full reference. If you are caught plagiarizing, you may be failed immediately.

English Proficiency
In order to enroll in a TEFL Online course, you must have a level of English proficiency that enables you to follow the program and satisfactorily complete course requirements. This is a level at which you make few or no errors in English and is roughly equivalent to a score of 280 or higher on the computer-based TOEFL. An inadequate level of English proficiency will result in a notification of probable failure by your tutor (see Course Failures).

Certificates
Upon successful course completion, you will be issued an official TEFL Online certificate indicating your name, course title, number of course hours, and completion date. TEFL Online certificates are delivered via a secure electronic system and are available immediately upon passing the course. Each certificate is imprinted with a unique certificate number to protect the authenticity of the certificate.

Using our online verification system, graduates and potential employers can enter the certificate number in order to receive confirmation about the graduate's qualification, more information about the course, and an indication of the graduate's performance. Printed, notarized, and apostille certificates with a hologram of authenticity are also available.

Free Trial
From time to time, we may offer a free trial membership or other promotions. If you accept a free trial membership or a promotion, we will begin to bill your credit card at the conclusion of the free trial or according to the terms and conditions outlined in the promotion. If you do not wish to be charged, you should cancel your Account(s) prior to the end of the trial period or in accordance with the applicable promotion rules.

Free trials are limited to one per individual (email address).  If you cancel your account prior to the end of the trial period and then register for a second free trial using the same email address, your card will be charged immediately upon enrollment in the second free trial.
