Overview of the Program
The Teach in Thailand Internship is devoted to providing quality, cross-cultural opportunities for both participants and local Thai schools and their communities, ideal for those looking to obtain invaluable skills crucial for living in a globally diverse world. You will develop a strong understanding of Thai culture while undoubtedly sharing your own—a key goal of the program. It is not essential to have a background in education; participants in this program should have a positive attitude, enthusiasm about teaching, and a sincere interest in learning Thai culture!
About the Teaching Assignment
As a teacher in Thailand, you will provide English language education to a country that currently experiences a significant undersupply of English teachers. Placements are available in both private and government schools, from kindergarten through grade 12. Currently the highest demand is for grades 7-12. Participants in this program are expected to work 40 hours per week, though actual classroom hours (“contact hours”) will be from 18–24 weekly.
With our 120-Hour TEFL Online Master Diploma (to be completed before the program) and a 7-day, all inclusive orientation upon arrival, you can confidently step into the classroom and begin your teaching assignment.
