Alexis Jennings

Alexis earned her B.A. in Spanish with a minor in Business from the University of Colorado. She worked as a volunteer ESL instructor in Colorado before receiving her CELTA qualification from BridgeTEFL. Recently, she went to Costa Rica to teach English. Alexis lived in Japan as a child, and in college, studied abroad in Spain. She has also traveled throughout Asia and Europe. Alexis is very enthusiastic about travel, because it provides opportunities for growth and personal development, as well as being a lot of fun! |

Katy Owens

Katy obtained her B.A. in International Affairs from Lewis and Clark College in Portland, Oregon and her TEFL certificate in Florence, Italy. She studied French and West African cultures in Dakar, Senegal and taught English for six months in Cusco, Peru. She has also lived in Germany and Saudi Arabia and traveled to more than forty countries worldwide. Katy is fluent in French, proficient in Spanish and German, and eager to learn other languages! |

Maggie Berardino

Maggie is originally from St. Louis, Missouri. She has a B.A. in Psychology with a minor in Statistics from the University of Missouri. She spent two years studying abroad in Perth, Australia and London, England. After college, she moved to Tokyo, Japan and taught English there for three years. Since returning to the States she has spent time volunteering in Costa Rica, Uganda, and Sri Lanka. Maggie now enjoys helping people begin their journey overseas as a Travel Advisor for BridgeTEFL. |

Mandy Chavez
TEFL-CELTA Advisor
Mandy has a B.A. in Spanish and a minor in Linguistics from New Mexico State University. She studied abroad with Bridge-Linguatec in Spain during her junior year. The following year, she volunteered in Guatemala and helped in a local after-school program. After graduating from college, she served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Madagascar from 2006 to 2008 where she taught English to middle-school children. Mandy's other travels have included Egypt, Morocco, Mexico, and numerous countries in Europe.
She is proficient in Spanish and Malagasy.

Sara Bauer
TEFL Job Placement Advisor
Sara has a B.A. in Classical Studies and Art History from the University of Wisconsin Madison and an M.A. in Greek Archaeology and Medieval Japanese Art from New York University. She has extensive travel experience in Australia, Costa Rica, Venezuela, Turkey, and various countries in Western Europe. Sara lived and taught English in Japan in 2004-05 and since then has worked in the field of international education.
